When I arrive at the Sanctuary Art Center to volunteer, I am never sure what will emerge in my own art work. As the youth enter the art room their energy fills the space. Some are chatting excitedly while others are quiet and tired from having spent the night outside. it makes no difference if I am using charcoal or paint. I am “in the moment” more while I’m there than any where else. Listening and engaging with the youth while witnessing the birth of their creativity nourishes my own. I am barely aware of the work I’m doing until later in the day.
Kudos to you! I hadn’t thuhogt of that!
That is way cool that they close the street! What a great way to support exercise. So I’m curious, being from Colorado, how did you find the alltitude? Do you notice big dinrcfefees when you travel to different places?
