Art inspired by a social cause is Art . As much as works created and defined only by color theory , spatial relationships and the like .
When I hear that Art projects must be ” about the art , not the social cause ” I can only smile and wonder.
Artists and their work has , through ages , contributed to social change .
Flip it over and it’s the same coin .
